the lifestyle doesn't love you

but all of it will take you

away from the people that do

you think the dealers praise you

you see the thing is with drugs 

is that you swallow them 

when you feel like this world isn't enough

toxins flow through your veins 

slow release gained through a puff

the drugs don't love you

the lifestyle is modernized

as if to be addicted is 'cool'

some passive poison that is westernized

some kind of reasoning that is presented

by the society that we created

in a place fuelled by discontent

i've witnessed friends collapse around me

wondering

 if i never studied in-depth about abuse 

would i understand the effects of such misuse? 

the drugs do not love you

but they will take you away from the things that do

- addiction is undeniable
